Non-alcoholic cocktails are not a novelty these days. However, with an abundance of choices, there is a high chance of running into poor quality options. We’ve tried many non-alcoholic sparkling wines in the past, and unfortunately, 90% of the time, the price to quality point just wasn’t there.
Some of the best classic cocktails are created using gin and as much as we love our tried and tested brands, we are always thrilled to try something new and less traditional. Established in 2020 @bluefaws gin is a great addition to your bar if seeking fruity and aromatic flavours. And if you are looking for a cocktail to go with it, no need to look further:
Ingredients
40ml Gin
15ml Cynar
30ml Pomegranate Juice
15ml Vanilla Syrup
10ml Lemon Juice
half an egg white
Method
Add all of the above ingredients to a shaker
Give it a good shake
Add ice to the shaker and give another good shake
Fine strain into a coupe glass
Garnish with pomegranate seeds
Enjoy!
In most people’s minds cocktails represent delicious and mysterious concoctions which need to be prepared by expert mixologists behind gorgeous looking bars. This can easily scare away someone with no experience form picking up a few bottles and try mixing their own drinks from the comfort of their home. Truth to be told, being a cocktail bartender is no easy feat, but the reasons behind this haven’t got too much to do with the making of a single drink, but with loads of different factors which will not be relevant to you as a home bartender. Just by following a few simple steps, you will be able to surprise your guests with some delicious drinks they will certainly remember.
For most of us, cocktail lovers, classic drinks such as the Martini or Old Fashioned will always hold a special place in our hearts. Could it be that drinking them ‘takes us’ to an era or a place where we feel more adventurous and ready to face our villains like James Bond fights Le Chiffre in the famous Casino Royale? Maybe it is the complete opposite, and sipping on a strong classic relaxes us and makes us think of innovative ideas like Don Draper in the captivating Mad Men?
As we are mostly back into normality and events have been running at full steam in recent months, I find myself attending more and more networking events once again. Inevitably, the question of ‘What do you do?’ needs answering on a regular basis and the standard response has been well polished over the years. However, when it comes to the part where I introduce one of our key strengths – designing BESPOKE COCKTAILS – it seems to confuse a lot of people.
And why is that?
Quality Mocktails are not easy to come by. Ones that you can quickly make at home, yet achieve beautiful, complex flavours are way too hard to find.
First of all, let’s start with the word INSTAGRAMMABLE and what it actually means. According to the urban dictionary the term is used to describe a picture that is worth posting/sharing on instagram. However, it raises a question: how do you measure ‘Worth’? There are 95 million photos and videos shared on Instagram daily (most likely this number has already increased) and only a small fraction of these go viral.
